Today’s Topic of Discussion on What-To-Do Wednesday 2/1/23: The way the phrase “baptism of the Holy Spirit” is defined and understood in today’s church vernacular, is not how I believe it is defined in the Word. In the church, it is typically only used when talking about receiving power from on high, and can only be confirmed by the evidence of speaking in tongues. That is doing a grave disservice to the body of Christ, and it’s one that has left many feeling hopeless and powerless. I’d like to offer you another definition today, one that will encourage and empower!
Scriptures: John 14:17, John 7:38-39, John 20:22, Acts 11:15, Acts 9:17-18, John 1:33, Matt. 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, Acts 1:5, Acts. 11:16; Acts. 8:5,12,14-17; Acts 19:1-6
Join us live every Wednesday at 11am EST for a discussion on how to apply the Word to your everyday life. It’s one thing to know the Word, and another to know how to use it!
